Definitions
Compounds of the same formula can have different arrangements of atoms (these are isomers).
Isomers: They have the same molecular formula but different structural formulas.
Organic compounds have chains and branches in the structural formula
Chains: The straight part of the structure
Branches: The parts that stem from the chains

Note:

How to name isomers
- Find longest chain + name it (like a normal organic compound).
- Name the branch (like a normal organic compound) + add “-yl” to the end.
- Number the chain starting from the side closer to the branch
